Team 2nd Grade
Barely Manilow & The Copa-cetics
Sean O’Neill—(Barely Manilow) This City by the Bay native and SI graduate has been honing his Parkside lounge lizard persona for years! Sean’s talent for Lip Sync was discovered at young age in the outer Richmond District. After a long day at grammar school, Sean would pedal his BMX dirt bike up Balboa Street to the Hockey Haven and would proceed to bring down the house by mouthing the words to Barry Manilow’s greatest hit “I am Stuck on Band-Aid.” Following a brief hiatus at Chico State, and an extended residency at the Broken Record in the Excelsior, Sean has finally moved his way up the Avenues to a regular gig at the Philly Club. He is ready to make new fans at the Saint Cecilia’s Lip Sync Battle, in what is, unquestionably, his opportunity of a lifetime.
Melanie Tobin Dilleshaw—(Lola) After years of studying her Arthur Murray mail-order footprint diagrams, Melanie finally found her “big break” on stage as the captivatingly tragic ingenue and behind the scenes choreographer for this motley - but very copacetic - crew. Not since Doolittle’s Raiders took to the skies over Tokyo at the dawn of World War II has one person faced such insurmountable odds. Drawing on decades of experience in the arts, a lifetime’s reservoir of patience, and (when needed) her monogrammed Velvet Hammer, she promises that what you will see tonight…well, all she can promise is that she did her best (did we mention the insurmountable odds?)
Scott McDonald—(Tony) Long striving to be the center of attention, Scott hails from “Hollywood” (actually Pasadena 15 miles East…), and was able to infuse the role of Tony with the suffering he has felt as a Dodger fan for the last quarter-century. Scott’s acting experience includes a two night tour de force performance as “Goat #2” in the 1983 St. Felicitas Christmas Pageant as well as pretending not to be scared of flu shots in front of his daughter (he is not actually good at this. The crying gives him away).
Mike Gutierrez—(Rico) Big, bad & buff all over Mike, often mistaken for Richard Simmons, is a San Francisco native with deep roots, deep pockets and a vintage car to die for. Frequently stopped and propositioned by agents on the streets due to his leading man good looks, Mike has chosen instead to channel his substantial talents and energy into his family, his community, and of course, his bowling league. Until tonight. Tonight he leaves it all on the stage for you!
Hot Momma Feather Girls aka Cindy Pazstory & Antionette Gutierrez make a one night only appearance with their former band mates The Wicked Daddios —Matt Bell & Ed Lalosh. This fabulous foursome has not shared the stage since their epic implosion at the legendary Whisky A Go Go where it was going, going, gone!
Adam Pazstory (Director)—Finally able to put his prestigious film school background to good use, Adam took to directing this motley crew like our kids take to weeknight homework. After weeks of stage blocking and head banging rehearsals, he, along with Melanie’s help and several tranquilizers, has brought to life the vision created by Michelle O’Neill and her Muppets-infused 70’s obsession.
Michelle O’Neill & Erin McClure (Executive Producers) and dynamic duo of arm twisters and star makers.
