Team 8th Grade

Mike McVeigh,  Robert Gee & Liam Reidy

Mike (Mac- V-Z) McVeigh
This “wonder” hails from the southeast side of San Francisco and can probably attribute his dope rhythm and moves to that geographical location. This is where he began forging his musical path, and producing his raw analog in the underground.
He is a self-proclaimed procrastinator, who always has something planned for “tomorrow”. Mac V-Z has previously performed with Marky Mark and the funky bunch and has been keeping it real since 1972. When he is not practicing his dance and singing moves, he stays busy holding down the wrong side of the law, and works hard at embarrassing his wife Ailish and son, Aidan.

Robert (G- Money) Gee
G-Money was born and raised in San Francisco and still calls the city home. His future plans include becoming a billionaire, buying a condo complex, and then tearing it down to replace it with a dive bar where he plans to perform with his friends Mac V-Z and Reidy the Rapper.
G-Money turned to rap at a young age as an escape from soccer practice, choir and band camp. It was in these early years that he discovered his rapping forte and enthusiastically earned and accepted his street name “G-Money”. When he is not rapping, he can be found in a kitchen working his culinary magic that brings adults and children alike drooling in anticipation of his gastronomic delights.
G-money is happily married to his wife, Majella and they have two children: Ronan and Tara.

Liam Reidy the Rapper
Liam Reidy the Rapper is one of the biggest breakout stars of the past few years, achieving fame and success in an unorthodox way — composing lyrics at the kitchen table around his four kids and his in-laws; and by avoiding the major labels that want to sign him.
Fiercely independent and articulate, he has found a way to please both the backpacker fans and a much wider audience through savvy collaborations with his wife Stephanie, and beat duo Mike “Mac V-Z” McVeigh and Robert “G- Money” Gee. In a recent act of philanthropy to Saint Cecilia Church and School, Men’s Club President Sean “It’s for the kids” Duffy tweeted his praises: “Thanks for giving back to the Saint Cecilia community. You are an example of the power of arts and education.”
Born Guillermo Michael Reidy in December 1973, he hails from the south-west corner of Co. Limerick Ireland.

The Lip Sync Battle FUNdraising competition is on!

The grade that earns the most points wins a free dress day and a pizza and movie party. Second and third place grades win an ice cream social.  Help put your grade’s team in the lead!

There are three ways for teams to earn points:

1. Lip Sync Video Contest—Every grade is making a video at school, which you’ll be able to vote on and like for points from March 6–22.

2. FUNdraising Parties & Donations—Parents are organizing fun parties for each grade to raise money and earn points for their Lip Sync team. FUNdraising will shut down at 3 p.m. on March 22nd.

3. Live Lip Sync Battle Audience Voting, March 23—Get ready to vote for your Lip Sync Battle team as they hilariously mouth the words to WIN a golden mic trophy! What they lack in vocal talent, they’ll more than make up for in enthusiasm and dazzling dance moves. On show night, March 23, you’ll be able to vote for your team on the auction website and in person until 9:30 p.m. Votes are $10 each.

The team with the most points overall will win SC Lip Sync Battle 2019! The winning team will be announced and awarded their trophy on event night!

Goal $1,500 per grade-it's OK to exceed that goal!
