Katie Talbott,  Jackie Moriarty, Karin Gooch & Maria Petersen

Katie “Mac” Talbott cut her teeth in the take-no-prisoners world of high school musicals. Her professional Tin-Whistler mother, “Met Mac”, and her rum-runner-cum-dance instructor father, “Captain” Jack prepped Katie for either a life of stardom or a life of crime. She wonders why she has to choose just one. If you’re lucky you can catch Katie honing her skills two nights a week in the Starlight Ballroom at the bar adjacent to the Graton Resort and Casino. Remember to tip your server.

Jackie Moriarty is a relative newcomer to the world of rock and roll, but she’s clearly a natural. When she realized that all the hours spent baking and crafting for her fifteen daughters was actually prepping her fingers for a life of shredding, she traded her cheese grater for an Axe. For this, Jackie would like to thank Molly, Stella, Rosie, Saoirse, Aine, Keira, Erin – you get the idea – for their inspiration. Mommy loves you.

Karin Gooch brings a level of grace and sophistication heretofore lacking in the group. She spent years treading the boards, spinning and twirling as a Prima Ballerina on The Great White Way before hanging up her toe shoes (and Black Swan Feathers) to serve the community as the famed Jazzercise Instructor that you can see every Saturday at 5:30 a.m. on your local-access channel.

Maria “Tommy Lee” Petersen is a bit of the unknown factor in this equation. There is not much to be found about Tommy Lee online; aside from her top 10 records….Arrest Records that is! Not only does she bring a much needed jagged edge to the group she equally brings a sense of Namaste that other members lack. Quite the two headed Snake.
However per a quick search on the Dark Web we now know that her favorite movies are This is Spinal Tap, Fantasia, and Benji; her favorite season is Spring; and her spirit animal er, Muppet is well….”Animal”.
She asks that we all remember that “Drummers are People too”

Their individual personas are memorable, but together they’re better!


The Lip Sync Battle FUNdraising competition is on!

The grade that earns the most points wins a free dress day and a pizza and movie party. Second and third place grades win an ice cream social.  Help put your grade’s team in the lead!

There are three ways for teams to earn points:

1. Lip Sync Video Contest—Every grade is making a video at school, which you’ll be able to vote on and like for points from March 6–22.

2. FUNdraising Parties & Donations—Parents are organizing fun parties for each grade to raise money and earn points for their Lip Sync team. FUNdraising will shut down at 3 p.m. on March 22nd.

3. Live Lip Sync Battle Audience Voting, March 23—Get ready to vote for your Lip Sync Battle team as they hilariously mouth the words to WIN a golden mic trophy! What they lack in vocal talent, they’ll more than make up for in enthusiasm and dazzling dance moves. On show night, March 23, you’ll be able to vote for your team on the auction website and in person until 9:30 p.m. Votes are $10 each.

The team with the most points overall will win SC Lip Sync Battle 2019! The winning team will be announced and awarded their trophy on event night!

Goal $1,500 per grade-it's OK to exceed that goal!
