6th Grade Dancer: Ruben Herrera
It started on the mean streets of San Francisco in the summer of '76. Ruben was sneaking into the beloved Empire Theatre through the back door. He and his friends thought they were sneaking in to see "Close Encounters of The Third Kind" but low and behold they accidentally slipped into the theater that was showing "Saturday Night Fever." Ruben wanted to be Tony Manero (John Travolta). From that day on, he was a closet dancer. When Ruben wasn't cheering on the 49ers & Giants, he was cheering on the Solid Gold Dancers. Danny Terio was the man!!!
After years of dancing on bars, at weddings and Bar Mitzvahs, his dreams are finally becoming a reality. Being of Latin descent, Ruben will sizzle on the dance floor and make the 6th grade proud.
6th Grade Dancer: Sophia Salfiti
Sophia cannot be more excited to represent 6th grade in this year’s first Dancing with the Stars. She spends her days working in the first grade as a teacher’s assistant. On the side, Sophia makes students' fat cry as a kickboxing instructor at a local martial arts school located in the heart of the sunset district. Being competitive in nature, Sophia is all fired up for the competition. She is known to always be the girl dancing on every table at every dance party. Together with Ruben, she is confident they can finish at the top and show the SC families how dancing on stage is done!
6th Grade Manager: Lisa Presta
Watch out, this couple is HOT and the team to beat! They've got charisma and they've got the moves to win! John Travolta's got nothing on these two.
