What’s happening to the event during social/physical-distancing?
This year’s Spring Fundraiser, 80’s Prom Forever Young, was almost canceled due to the pandemic, buuut...nobody puts baby in a corner! Instead, it’s making history...never done before, we’re turning an evening out into a celebration online. Continue to peruse the website to see all the wonderful parts of the event that will remain.
And then start your bidding when the Silent Auction goes live from May 4th — May 21st. Join us for a Virtual Prom Celebration on May 15 at 6:00 p.m. where we will kick off the live auction (now called Grand Auction), crown the Prom King and Queen, and toast to our commitment to our school and children!
What is a Virtual Prom Celebration?
80’s Prom Forever Young steps into the 21st century and parties online! Due to the need to social/physical-distance, we will come together online via a video chat platform. Our Virtual Prom Celebration will happen on May 15 at 6:00 p.m. where we will kick off the live auction (now called Grand Auction), crown the Prom King and Queen, and toast to our commitment to our school and children! Link will be shared privately within SC community announcements.
Why are we raising money for St. Cecilia School?
St. Cecilia Mother Club is committed to raising funds for St. Cecilia School. The Spring Fundraiser is the main fundraiser for the school. These funds will support next year’s operating costs to run such a dynamic and successful school. The more we raise, the more we will be able to do to support the school and our students. And, it’s such a fun time!
How can I get involved?
Just because we can’t physically attend this totally epic Prom Night, you can still support your school:
•Support your grade by voting in the Prom King and Queen Contest
•Donate an auction item or ask a friend or business owner to donate an item
•Be a sponsor and support part of the event
•Purchase a program ad and showcase your message
•Purchase raffle tickets
•Buy a Wine & Spirit Square and walk away a winner
•Donate Cash - it’s never risky business
•Don’t forget employer matching

How can I bid on an auction item and when?
There are so many radical and bodacious silent auction items. Get ready on Monday, May 4, 2020, for the Silent Auction to go live and start bidding. Bidding starts May 4, 12:01am and ends May 21 11:59 p.m.

Think satin, big sleeves, and pumps! Your hair should be teased to perfection and almost as big as the bow-embellished puff sleeves on your baby-pink dress. Bright berry-pink lipstick, frosted blue eyeshadow and pumps finish this quintessential outfit. Dudes -- Shoulder pads are not just for the Betties! Pull out your Power Suit or show off those pegged oversized suit pants and throw on your Huey Lewis Ray Bans; it's time to strut your stuff!
